317 High Street, Ladysmith

This project began with a redesign of two bedrooms and finishing the 70 year old unfinished basement.  This was an original coal miner’s house that had been relocated to its present location, and had been added on to 4 different times.  This created issues with corners and walls not being square and straight, and floors being uneven.  Upon inspection, the failing roof structure was noticed and it was decided to completely rebuild the roof.  This repair evolved from three small bedrooms and one bathroom to three bathrooms and four large bedrooms, including the completed basement.  In addition to the interior, major esthetic changes were completed on the exterior of the house including new decks and railings, as well as relocating the main doorway.

Roofing installed by X-Ray Roofing, siding supplied by Rona, flooring supplied by Rona, bathroom and laundry room cabinets by Brooks Fine Woodworking, insulation installed by PSI Spray Foam, and plumbing and heating installed by Bayview Plumbing and Heating.
